With an installed capacity of 171 MW the wind farm Cibuk 1 is one of the largest planned wind power facilities in Serbia. The 57 turbines are supposed to annually produce up to 450,000MWh of emission free electricity from 2013 on. This will replace coal based electricity in the Serbian electricity grid, thus reducing up to 500,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Together with the wind projects Plandiste and Kosava I+II it was the first CDM project approved by the Serbian DNA.

Close to the village of Plandiste in Vojvodina, Serbia a 102 MW wind farm is being implemented. It is among the first wind power projects in the country, as to date there is no commercial wind power facility in operation. The project is supposed to annually reduce about 330,000 tons of CO2 emissions starting 2013.

Together with the wind projects Cibuk 1 and Kosava I+II it was the first CDM project approved by the Serbian DNA.

The wind farm Dorobantu is situated west of Constanta, Romania. After completion it will have an installed capacity of 54MW and it is expected to generate annual emission reductions of 130,000 tons of CO2.

The goverment of Ecuador is distributing 6 mio. Compact Flourescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) to replace energy intensive Incandescent lightbulbs in poverty level households. This activity is supposed to save approximately 500kWh of electricity per household anually, thus reducing electricity costs. The total annual electricity savings are estimated at 750,000 MWh.

The project is the first large scale CFL project registered under CDM.

The planned project includes collection and utilization of the waste wooden sawdust of the client´s sawmill operation and from operations of around 500 small saw millers in the area. At the moment the sawdust is disposed of in piles where it decays under anaerobic conditions emitting methane. The project aims to mitigate this problem by using the waste sawdust for pellets/briquettes production – a renewable carbon neutral energy source.
